New fountain being built near Brown Chapel

Wondering what the construction project is adjacent to Brown Chapel? It's a new fountain that is being built in memory of Jeanette Macek Begley, mother of Peggy Roettger and mother-in-law of President Roettger. Mrs. Begley passed away in November 2005 and the family asked that memorials be sent to Lyon for a fountain in her memory. It is said that Jean never passed a fountain without tossing in a coin for good luck.

Despite the rain, the fountain is expected to be ready and flowing by time of the Arkansas Scottish Festival. The family of Mrs. Begley is appreciative of all the donors who have made this possible and to Nabholz Construction for their gift of time, talent and treasure.
