First varsity softball team opens season

The Lyon College Pipers softball team are led onto the field by Jimmy Bell and Kenton Adler of the Lyon College Pipe Band before the team's inaugural home softball game Feb. 18 at Batesville's North Complex. The Pipers are 5-9 overall and 4-2 in TranSouth Conference play.
