Recycling party

(Above) Sarah Dunkerson, Dr. Martha Beck and Stephen Foster tear book pages to aid in recycling. The Lyon Recyclers met at the library on April 30 for a recycling party. They and others who joined the fray ripped out pages from dozens of books, mostly indexes and old law codes that the library now has online. The pages have to be free of the binding to be recyclable. Two carloads of paper were hauled off by maintenance to be recycled. Everyone had a good time and took out some finals frustration by ripping up books. Dr. Cathy Bordeau is the leader of the recyclers. (Below) Teah Barham and Brenda Lindsey work on freeing pages to be recycled.
