Students attend 'Interview Today' event in LR

Fifteen Lyon College students attended another successful "Interview Today" event held in Little Rock on Feb. 25. Sponsored by Arkansas' Independent Colleges and Universities, representatives from 15 local companies and national organizations met in one location to interview graduating students as prospective employees for each of their companies.

Seniors participating were Alex Huffman, Amy Hodges, Bridgette Hanna, Calley Case, Chad Engler, Christine Font, Glenn Ritter, Heather Palmer, James Watters, Jennifer Shaw, Jessica Sylvester, Juan Daza, Matt Petty, Rachel Turner and Sheena Highsmith.

Recruiters were excited to have the opportunity to meet these students in a professional one-on-one setting. The outcome resulted in immediate job offers for two students. Additionally, approximately 20 second interviews were scheduled with students, and recruiters reviewed with candidates how to target resume information for specific jobs within their companies as students complete the online application and prepare for the second interview process. These connections will continue to generate appreciable employment opportunities for these qualified job candidates.

The Lyon College Career Center works in conjunction with the AICU to promote this annual event.
