Lyon College Concert Band to present
its first holiday concert on Dec. 3

The Lyon College Concert Band will present a holiday concert on Monday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Brown Chapel.

The concert will be in conjunction with the student recital and men's chorale concert that evening. This semester marks the first opportunity in several years for students to perform in a concert band setting.

The performance will include Robert Foster's "Ceremony and Celebration," "Russian Christmas Music" by Alfred Reed, "Amazing Grace" arranged by Jay Bocook and Irving Berlin's "White Christmas" as well as other selections.

The band extends its invitation to the students, faculty and community to attend this free concert.

Lyon Concert Band members are: Flute: Meagan Bullock, Sam Davis, Douglas Harding; Oboe: Emily Murphy; Clarinet: Ashley Dorsey, Chris Middaugh, Martha Moreno, Jennifer Shaw; Saxophone: Steven Goacher, Jessie Hurt; French Horn: Robert Hemfelt, Mary Wiley; Trumpet: Cody Crymes, Alyssa Papineau, Greg Robinson; Trombone: Katie Ericksen; Tuba: Drew McNutt; Percussion: Alex Moeller, Anelisa Wood. Julinda Dixon directs the band.

The band meets on Wednesday evenings from 5:30 to 7 p.m. for a one hour credit. All students and faculty at Lyon College are encouraged and invited to enroll for the spring semester.
