Adler wins Piper of the Day honors
at Alabama solo piping competition
Kenton Adler was Piper of the Day at the Birmingham Solo Piping Competition held on Nov. 3 at the Ross Bridge Resort in Alabama. Ken had first place in Grade II Piobaireachd, 6/8 March, Strathspey/Reel, and Hornpipe/Jig, and was second in the 2/4 March. Lyon band members Nancy Love, and Mack Davis also made the prize lists in several events in Grade IV Senior. Judges for this EUSPBA sanctioned contest were Jimmy Bell and Patrick Regan. This was the first year the event has been held and it was well attended by competitors from across the southeast.
