Hayes speaks about frogs
Scientist Tyrone Hayes gives a lecture about herbicides and frogs March 10 in the Derby Center. Hayes is a researcher who studies the effects of steroid hormones on sexual development and behavior in different frog species. Hayes’ years of research has found that the herbicide atrazine causes frogs to become hermaphrodites. Hayes is an associate professor of integrative biology at the University of California at Berkeley.
