Record number of student athletes named to Athletic Director's Honor Roll for Fall '07 The Lyon College student athletes have definitely put the “student” before the “athlete” in the classroom this fall. Lyon’s Athletic Department is pleased to announce that a school-record 80 athletes have been named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll for the Fall 2007 semester. To make the AD’s honor roll, a student athlete must maintain a 3.0 grade-point average or better. Seven athletes – Meredith Davis (golf) , Juan Daza (tennis), Snezana Jovanovic (basketball), Drew Kellums (baseball), Heather Palmer (soccer), Glenn Ritter (cross country) and Andy Schatzley (baseball) – managed to maintain a 4.0 average during the Fall 2007 semester. The following student athletes made the AD’s Honor Roll and are listed alphabetically by sport: Baseball – Jon Bobbitt, Derek Bond, Justin Brown, Will Bullock, Kody Cox, Justin Cunningham, Cody Harper, Josiah Hass, Matt Hill, Jaymes Husband, Kyle Kallsnick, Drew Kellums, Justin McGarity, Wil Moore, Sam Neal, Craig Page, Garry Richards, Andy Schatzley, Zac Wallace and Trent Weeks. Women’s Basketball – April Carter, LeAnna Peerson, Snezana Jovanovic, Ashley Waller, Maribeth Waters and Rebecca Whorton. Men’s Basketball – Craig Amos, Charles Black, Adam Hill, Matt Owens, Lance Powell and Levi Taylor. Women’s Golf – Meredith Davis, Charli Steed and Chelsea Wilson. Men’s Golf – Brad Biggers, Christopher Campbell, Matthew Cromer and Seth Johnson. Women’s Cross Country – Katee Castleman, Lauren Fouse, Monica Fuller, Mychelle Gregg, Lauren Jones, Amy Starnes and Anelisa Wood. Men’s Cross Country – Daniel Haney, John Hubbard, Joshua Looney and Glenn Ritter. Softball – Abbey Cannon, Holly Geis, Mychelle Gregg, Tenequa Martin and April Wright. Men’s Soccer – Greg Buford, Daniel Haney, Ryan Harness, Kris Koelemay, Gabe LeBlanc, Kevin Solomon, Gueorgui Tchamkoriyski, Evan Wilson and Daniel Young. Women’s Soccer – Kaelli Broomfield, Marisa Browne, Erica Cox, Kristin Maas, Heather Palmer and Abby Senn. Men’s Tennis – Juan Daza, Justin Dill and Jeff Thessing.
