Dr. Weinzierl joined the Lyon faculty in 2002. Originally from LaCrosse, Wisconsin, his areas of scholarship include Modern Europe, French Revolution and Age of Napoleon, Military History, the Middle East, and World War II Era Popular Culture. He serves as a judge at the Lyon College and State History Days, is on the college’s Academic Affairs Council, Strategic Planning and Budget Committee, and Regional Advisory Committee. He also serves as an interviewer/collector for the Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress.
