Dr. Everson joined the Lyon faculty in 2001. Originally from South Dakota, she is a Mesoamerican archaeologist; however, she is currently undertaking a new project looking at the archaeology done under the Works Progress Administration during the 1930s. She has served as a freshman mentor, faculty advisor to the Young Democrats, Mortar Board Honor Society, Phi Mu Sorority, chair of the Division of Social Sciences and as president of the Faculty Assembly. She also currently serves as a member of the editorial advisory boards for Annual Editions in Physical Anthropology and Roundtable Discussion in Physical Anthropology.
