History double major Krystle Perkins (Spanish) has been accepted to the doctoral program in history at the University of Kansas. She's also received a Graduate Teaching Assistantship at KU.
History double major Kristin Harris (psychology) will enter the graduate program in psychology at Texas Woman's University in the fall of 2003.
Kristin and history major Courtney Harris were named the Daniel and Jane Fagg Outstanding Students in History Award at the spring Honors Convocation.
History double major Tony Davis (computer science) has been elected the 2003-04 president of Lyon's chapter of Alpha Chi, the national collegiate honor society for scholarship. He's also the 2003 recipient of the Roberta Brown Scholarship. His presentation on digital mapping (see Project Album Directory) was accepted for the 2003 Arkansas Undergraduate Research Conference at Henderson State University.
History double major Josh Brooks (math) has been elected president of the Lyon student body for 2003-04.
History major George Jared was named Top Oralist at the Arkansas Moot Court Tournament and finished in the top 20 at the National Moot Court Tournament.
George and history double major Caroline Bednar (political science) beat the number one team at the national competition.
