Mr. Covington came to Lyon in 1988 from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He was Head of Public Services for 5 years, and also had 7 combined years of experience at Texas Woman's University and the University of North Texas, Denton. He is a member of the American Library Association, the Arkansas Library Association, the Association of College & Research Libraries, and was a founding board member of the Old Independence Regional Museum in Batesville. His family are members of First Presbyterian Church in Batesville. His interests include reading, listening to jazz and rock music, and watching movies and baseball.
