Strollo is interested in analytical, atmospheric, environmental, and physical chemistry. She has developed those interests through laboratory work in mass spectrometry, gas chromatography, fluorescence spectroscopy, and nuclear magnetic resonance. She received the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award in 2007, the Chancellor’s Distinguished Fellowship from the University of California in 2006, and second place in the Analytical Division at the 70th Annual Intercollegiate Student Chemists Convention, held at Ursinus College. She received the NSF Research Fellowship from the University of Michigan in 2005 and the Summer Research Grant from Muhlenberg College in 2003. She has published several articles, such as “Secondary Organic Aerosol Formation from the reaction of OH radicals with furans” and “Formation of Secondary Organic Aerosol formed from substituted benzenes and their primary oxidation products.”
