In November 2006, Dr. Bordeau was named Arkansas Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and in 2008, she was named Alpha Chi Professor of the Year by the Lyon College chapter of the Alpha Chi National Honor Society. Dr. Bordeau joined the Lyon College faculty in 1995. Originally from Marquette, Mich., she is chair of the Language, Literature and Fine Arts Division. She currently serves on the Academic Affairs Council, the Strategic Planning and Budget Committee, the Sustainability Task Force, the Honorary Degree Committee and the Friends of the Library Committee. She is the coordinator for the Lyon-Poitiers Exchange Program. She is also an assistant faculty sponsor for Alpha Chi, the faculty advisor for the Lyon College Recyclers, the French Club and the Phi Mu Sorority. Dr. Bordeau has led several Nichols International Studies Program trips to France.
