Oliveira spent the past year working as a lecturer in biology and lab manager at Concord University in Athens, W.V. Prior to that, she was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Nebraska’s School of Biological Sciences and an National Science Foundation (NSF) postdoctoral fellow at the University of Arkansas’s Department of Biological Sciences. Oliveira specializes in evolutionary biology, genetics, and ecology, although she has a secondary interest in principles of biology, cell biology, molecular biology, population and quantitative genetics, and phylogenetics. She taught three courses this past year at Concord University and has served as a guest lecturer and teaching assistant at the University of Arkansas.
