Dr. Kurt Grafton joined the Lyon College faculty in 2003. He is a physical chemist with expertise in molecular modeling and computational chemistry. His research involves modeling everything from "imaginary" chiral systems to small enzyme inhibitors to carbon nanotubes. Dr. Grafton routinely teaches General Chemistry (CHM 110 & 120), Physical Chemistry (CHM 350 & 360), and Junior & Senior Seminars (CHM 370 & 490). Outside of the lab and classroom, Dr. Grafton advises chemistry majors and undeclared students. He helps direct the annual Service Day activities, teaches in the APPLE program, and volunteers as a Cub Scout leader.
