Alan H. McNamee

Dr. McNamee joined the Lyon faculty in 1994 after serving at McPherson College (KS), the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and the Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. His recent college service includes Promotion and Tenure Committee, President’s Cup Committee, Health Insurance Task Force, and Lyon College Friends of the Library. His previous service includes serving on the Career Development Advisory Board and the Honors Program Task Force, and as Fulbright Program Advisor, faculty representative to the Student Government Association, and assistant sponsor of Alpha Chi. In the community, Alan has served as board member and vice president of the Batesville Area Arts Council, as Batesville Utilities Commissioner and as a soccer coach and referee for the Independence County Youth Athletic Association. He is currently president of the Batesville Community Theatre board of directors. A highlight of his professional career was serving as Fulbright visiting Scholar at the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management in Warsaw, Poland, during a previous sabbatical. Dr. McNamee received the Lamar Williamson Prize for Faculty Excellence in 2003.
