A message from Claudia Marsh:
As Director of Church Relations, it is my responsibility to help develop and strengthen the
relationship between the College and Presbyterian Churches and their individual members.
Lyon College was founded by the Presbyterian Church and is affiliated with the Synod of the Sun of
the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) through a covenant relationship overseen by the College’s Board of
Church Advocates. The College seeks and welcomes students of all religious faiths and is true to the
Presbyterian tradition of non-sectarian, values-oriented educational programs in an atmosphere of
free inquiry. To assist our students in finding out more about the local churches, a Batesville Area
Church Directory is included in this section.
Information about church-related events that are taking place here on campus, and at the church,
Synod, and national levels of the Presbyterian Church will be available in this section in the near
future. You will be able to link to other Presbyterian websites. The most recent issue of The Lyon
Connection, the church relations newsletter, will be accessible. In addition, there will be an event
calendar with information about upcoming church-related events.
